In the course of a typical milling process, the husks are removed from the raw grain to reveal whole brown rice.
Rice branRice bran is produced during the second stage in milling, the whitening or polishing process, when the bran layer is removed from the brown rice kernel. Rice bran has a high nutritive value and contains 10-23% bran oil.
